Daily checks

Catch Claim Errors Before the Payer Does

Every morning, Zeumatic lists what will stop a claim from being paid, and sorts it into what to fix, who to call and what is ready to bill.

Most denials were visible before the claim left

A large share of the claims a care business loses were doomed before they were sent: the authorization had expired, the payer code on the record was blank, the member's date of birth had a typo, a service day was billed twice. Payers are very good at finding those mistakes. The trick is to find them first.

Zeumatic runs those checks for you, across every person and every claim of the company, and gathers the results on one Issues page. It does not bury them in a report: each problem is listed with the person concerned and a direct way to fix it.

The list is sorted by what has to happen next. Fix collects records that need a correction in Zeumatic: a missing plan code, an impossible date, a person without coverage. Call collects what needs a phone call. A person to reach, an authorization to chase with the plan. Bill collects services that were delivered and are ready to be claimed.

The dashboard opens on the same picture: a short panel of what needs attention today, so the first thing a biller sees in the morning is the work that protects the company's revenue.

None of this replaces the people who know your clients. It gives them a short, ordered list every morning instead of a long search at the end of the month, and it keeps the list honest: a problem disappears only when the record behind it is really fixed.

A morning with the daily checks

  1. 1

    Open the dashboard

The attention panel shows how many people need a fix, a call or a claim today.

  2. 2

    Work the Fix list

Each line opens the record to correct. Fixed problems leave the list on their own.

  3. 3

    Make the calls

Each line says who to reach and why, so the calls get made in one sitting.

  4. 4

    Bill what is ready

Services that pass every check are listed under Bill, ready for the next batch.

Questions we hear

Which problems do the daily checks look for?

Records that cannot be billed (no coverage, an expired or missing authorization, a blank payer code, an impossible date of birth), claims the payer rejected, and services delivered but not yet billed.

Does Zeumatic stop a duplicate claim?

Yes. The same service day cannot be billed twice for the same person: the database refuses the second claim, whoever or whatever tries to create it.

Where do payer rejections show up?

On the claim itself, with the payer's reason, and on the Payer rejections page that gathers every rejected claim in one place.

Do we have to run the checks ourselves?

No. They run on their own and the list is current whenever you open it.

Can different teammates take different lists?

Yes. A coordinator can work the Fix list while a biller takes Bill; each sees the same, current picture of the company.
